I recently purchased a baby afghan from Sanders N Stitches and wanted to talk about my experience. I have been a nursery teacher at church for over 25 years and am always looking for good baby items to use as gifts. After attending so many baby showers and visiting with so many new mothers I have found that handmade items are the most appreciated and make excellent gifts. I was very excited to find this site (having never been on Etsy before) and was so pleased to find many different varieties to choose from. The main problem I had was choosing which one to get! I chose one that I thought this new mother would like the best, this being her third child. It has also been my experience (as once being a new mom as well) that the things that we hang on to are the things which someone hand made. Books and blankets I still have from my son’s baby showers many years later. I think of “SIS” now as my personal gift makers as they have many other items to choose from on their site. The afghan is just gorgeous and extremely well made but so soft!! They packaged carefully and shipped quickly, and since this was a gift I plan to go back and get something for me!
